The purpose of the CSU Colorado Technology Association Scholarship is to encourage incoming freshmen with an interest and commitment to science and technology to pursue degrees in defined programs at Colorado State. Degree candidates within the university will be competitively considered for all available scholarship awards. The number of awards each year will be determined by the previous year’s fund raising.

A non-profit and non-partisan educational organization established to develop the next generation of Latino leaders. CHCI seeks to accomplish this by offering educational and leadership development programs, services, and activities that promote the growth of its participants as effective professionals and strong leaders.
The SMART Scholarship-for-Service Program is a combined educational and workforce development opportunity for STEM students. SMART offers scholarships for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students pursuing a STEM degree. Scholarship recipients receive full tuition, annual stipends, internships, and guaranteed employment with the Department of Defense after graduation. Applications are open annually from August 1-December 1
These scholarships encourage minority students from diverse ethnic, racial, and cultural backgrounds to participate in the Society’s biennial conferences and enhance their interest in the conservation and preservation of parks, protected areas, and cultural sites throughout the world. The goal of the scholarship is to encourage greater ethnic, racial, and cultural diversity among the park professions.
This is a $1000 graduate scholarship for a woman from the Loveland-Berthoud area, and is available through the Loveland Branch of the American Association of University Women. It is available to a female who has graduated from an accredited four-year college and is pursuing a graduate degree.
Since 1981 the Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund (MMMF), a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit, public charity, has awarded scholarships to outstanding women from developing countries, who are completing degrees at US/Canadian universities and are committed to improving the wellbeing of women and children in developing countries.
Through a grant competition, funds are awarded to institutions of higher education to prepare eligible participants for doctoral studies through involvement in research and other scholarly activities. Participants are from disadvantaged backgrounds and have demonstrated strong academic potential. Institutions work closely with participants as they complete their undergraduate requirements. Institutions encourage participants to enroll in graduate programs and then track their progress through to the successful completion of advanced degrees. The goal is to increase the attainment of Ph.D. degrees by students from underrepresented segments of society.
The National Potato Council has established scholarships to honor graduate students pursuing advanced studies to meliorate the potato industry.

National Science Foundation Bridge to the Doctorate Fellowship Program
Funded through the National Science Foundation, this two-year program is designed to support students in persistence and successful completion of their STEM doctoral degrees. The BD program is administered through the Graduate Center for Inclusive Mentoring. The Fellowship is not available in 2022.

Non-CSU Fellowships
The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Mass Media Science & Engineering Fellowship seeks to increase communication skills in student scientists. From grant writing to interaction with their community, today’s young scientists must also be able science communicators. The lessons they learn through the Fellowship experience will benefit their career path and help them increase public understanding of science and technology.
The Alfa Fellowship Program was founded in 2004 with the aim of fostering a community of emerging leaders who have first-hand experience in the business, public policy, and cultural environments of Russia and the region. Since then, over 200 Americans, Britons, and Germans have been able to experience the workplace, while living and traveling in Russia through this unique professional and cultural immersion opportunity

Accepting applications for Title VIII Grants for Research and Advanced Language Training programs in Central Asia, the South Caucasus, Russia, Southeast Europe, Moldova and Ukraine. Only U.S. citizens are eligible for these awards.
Enables U.S. graduate students to add an important international language component to their graduate education through specialization in area study, language study, or increased language proficiency. NSEP supports students studying languages, cultures, and world regions other than Western Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Fellowships are intended to support U.S. graduate students who will pursue the study of languages and cultures deemed critical to U.S. national security, and who are highly motivated by the opportunity to work in the federal government.
The STEM Chateaubriand Fellowship targets outstanding PhD students enrolled in an American university who wish to conduct part of their doctoral research in a French laboratory for a 4 to 9 month period. STEM Chateaubriand fellows are selected through a merit-based competition. Priority is given to candidates working toward a “double degree” (cotutelle) with their host institution. All Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM) and Health disciplines are eligible. The required level of French remains at the discretion of the host laboratory.
This graduate fellowship program of the National Academies – consisting of the National Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Engineering, Institute of Medicine, and National Research Council – is designed to engage its Fellows in the analytical process that informs U.S. science and technology policy. The Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Program aims to strengthen English language instruction at Moroccan public universities by providing assistance to the permanent Moroccan teaching staff. At the same time, ETAs benefit from cross-cultural interactions, research possibilities, and volunteering opportunities in their placement communities.
The foundation provides fellowships to students in the areas of applied sciences and engineering. The Graduate Fellowship Award is based on merit and consists of cost-of-education allowance and a personal support stipend. The National Research Council of the National Academies announces the 2011 Research Associateship Programs to be conducted on behalf of federal research laboratories in over 100 locations throughout the U.S. The programs provide opportunities for Ph.D., Sc.D., or M.D. scientists and engineers of unusual promise and ability to perform research on problems largely of their own choosing, yet compatible with the research interests of the sponsoring laboratory.

The Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program is administered by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM). Each year, candidates apply to the program in efforts to be selected as Finalists. Finalists are then eligible for appointment as Presidential Management Fellows (Fellows; PMFs) at a participating Federal agency. The PMF Program is an opportunity for advanced degree holders across all academic disciplines and from all segments of society.
International Dissertation Research Fellowship (IDRF) Program supports doctoral students in the humanities and humanistic social sciences pursuing research that advances knowledge about US Indigenous or non-US cultures and societies.
The Mitchell Scholars Program is a national competitive fellowship sponsored by the US-Ireland Alliance. The Mitchell Scholars Program, named to honor former US Senator George Mitchell’s pivotal contribution to the Northern Ireland peace process, is designed to introduce and connect generations of future American leaders to the island of Ireland, while recognizing and fostering intellectual achievement, leadership, and a commitment to public service and community.
These fellowships support 30 individuals a year for up to two years of graduate study in any subject anywhere in the U.S. Students already in graduate study are eligible, though not past their second year. Candidates must be either holders of Green Cards, naturalized citizens, or children of two naturalized citizen parents.
The L’Oréal USA For Women In Science fellowship program will award post-doctoral women scientists in the United States. Applicants are welcome from a variety of fields, including the life and physical/material sciences, technology (including computer science), engineering, and mathematics. The L’Oréal For Women in Science program recognizes and rewards the contributions women make in STEM fields and identifies exceptional women researchers committed to serving as role models for younger generations. More than 2,000 women scientists in over 100 countries have been recognized since the program began in 1998.

The ROTC Vitalization Act of 1964 provides for a two-year ROTC program in addition to the traditional four-year program and authorizes ROTC scholarships. More information on the Reserve Officer’s Training Corps (ROTC) scholarship is here.
