Non-CSU Scholarships
Scholarships are open to ANS student members enrolled in a course of study relating to a degree in nuclear science or nuclear engineering.
A non-profit and non-partisan educational organization established to develop the next generation of Latino leaders. CHCI seeks to accomplish this by offering educational and leadership development programs, services, and activities that promote the growth of its participants as effective professionals and strong leaders.
Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation (SMART) is a DoD Scholarship Program for STEM students. Scholarship recipients receive full tuition, annual stipends, internships, and guaranteed employment with the Department of Defense after graduation. Applications are open annually from Aug. 1 – Dec. 1
This is a $1,000 graduate scholarship for a woman currently or formerly residing in the Loveland-Berthoud area. Candidates must demonstrate a financial need to be considered for this award.
Since 1981 the Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund (MMMF), a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit, public charity, has awarded scholarships to outstanding women from developing countries, who are completing degrees at US/Canadian universities and are committed to improving the wellbeing of women and children in developing countries.
Through a grant competition, funds are awarded to institutions of higher education to prepare eligible participants for doctoral studies through involvement in research and other scholarly activities. Participants are from disadvantaged backgrounds and have demonstrated strong academic potential. Institutions work closely with participants as they complete their undergraduate requirements. Institutions encourage participants to enroll in graduate programs and then track their progress through to the successful completion of advanced degrees. The goal is to increase the attainment of Ph.D. degrees by students from underrepresented segments of society.
Each year, the Potato Leadership, Education and Advancement Foundation (Potato LEAF) awards one $10,000 academic scholarship to a graduate student with strong interest in research that can directly benefit the potato industry.

The purpose of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) is to help ensure the quality, vitality, and diversity of the scientific and engineering workforce of the United States. The goal of the program is to broaden participation of the full spectrum of diverse talents in STEM. The five-year fellowship provides three years of financial support inclusive of an annual stipend of $37,000.

National Science Foundation Bridge to the Doctorate Fellowship Program
Funded through the National Science Foundation, this two-year program is designed to support students in persistence and successful completion of their STEM doctoral degrees. The BD program is administered through the Graduate Center for Inclusive Mentoring. The Fellowship is not available in 2023.

This 10-week summer program places science, engineering, and mathematics students at media organizations nationwide. Fellows use their academic training as they research, write, and report today’s headlines, sharpening their abilities to communicate complex scientific issues to the public.

These fellowships honor the contributions of immigrants and children of immigrants to the United States and support 30 individuals a year for up to two years of graduate study in any subject anywhere in the U.S. Students already in graduate study are eligible, though not past their second year. Candidates must be either holders of Green Cards, naturalized citizens, or children of two naturalized citizen parents.
The L’Oréal USA For Women in Science fellowship program awards five women postdoctoral scientists annually with grants of $60,000 each for their contributions in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields and commitment to serving as role models for younger generations.
