Bringing together researchers from multiple fields in one program not only promotes keeping up-to-date with research in different fields, but also provides opportunities for collaboration and fresh perspectives on your own research.

Colorado State University provides the most collaborative environment for graduate student researchers I have encountered thus far. I came to CSU through the one year, multi-disciplinary, Molecular, Cellular, and Integrative Neurosciences program, and my first year consisted of three rotations through different research laboratories. Through this experience, I not only obtained knowledge in different research fields, but also learned how to communicate with people from multiple backgrounds and styles of communicating. Upon completion of this one year program, I again decided to join a multi-disciplinary program, Cell and Molecular Biology. Bringing together researchers from multiple fields in one program not only promotes keeping up-to-date with research in different fields, but also provides opportunities for collaboration and fresh perspectives on your own research. Through my experiences at CSU, I have made life-long connections and obtained skills and techniques which will provide a head start to a career in research.
