Steps Once Admitted
STEP 1 - REVIEW NOTICE OF GRADUATE ADMISSION
Please review your GS2A Notice of Graduate Admission and submit any documents that are checked. A delay in this may prevent you from registering.
STEP 2 - CREATE AN EID
To complete all of the necessary steps for enrollment, you must have an eID (electronic identification). If this step has not already been completed, you can create an eID through
RAMweb
- select “Create an Account (eID)”. You must know your CSU ID (which was e-mailed to you shortly after your application was submitted) to create your eID. If you need assistance with your CSU ID, please contact the Office of Admissions at
admissions@colostate.edu
or (970) 491-6909.
If you have forgotten your eID, you should select “I forgot my Username and/or Password” on the
RAMweb
login page. If assistance is needed in creating an eID, please contact the Office of Admissions at
admissions@colostate.edu
or (970) 491-6909.
Please note that eID information can only be shared with the student and not with family members because of the Federal Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). More information about FERPA is available under “Students' Rights Regarding Their Educational Records” in the Policies and Guiding Principles section of the
General Catalog
or through the
U.S. Department of Education
, FERPA site.
STEP 3 - LET US KNOW YOUR PLANS
Log in to
RAMweb
using your eID to let us know if you are accepting or regretting your offer of admission.
If you decide to defer your admission to a future term, please fill out and submit the
GS1C Change of Term Request For Applicants to Graduate Programs
.
STEP 4 - INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Please communicate directly with the Office of International Programs regarding your immigration status requirements. For more information, visit the
Information for New and Transfer International Students
page on the Office of International Programs website.
STEP 5 - APPLY FOR CAMPUS HOUSING (IF APPLICABLE)
Housing assignments for both fall and spring terms start in November. The sooner the
online housing application
and deposit are received, the more likely you are to receive your first choice.
CSU offers a broad selection of housing and dining options to ensure that students feel at home here... In addition, campus apartments are available for students who qualify. Information about housing options is available at
www.housing.colostate.edu
.
STEP 6 - MANDATORY HEALTH INSURANCE (ON-CAMPUS STUDENTS ONLY)
All full-fee paying resident-instruction graduate students enrolled in 6 credits or more are required to enroll in the CSU student health insurance plan or to opt-out by demonstrating health insurance coverage at a comparable level. For more information, please review the
Mandatory Health Insurance
page.
STEP 7 - CONTACT
Admission and registration related questions that arise between the point of admission and the start of classes at CSU can be directed to the department to which you have been admitted. Information about student rights and responsibilities and University policies and procedures is available in the
Graduate & Professional Bulletin
and in the
General Catalog
.
STEP 8 - SUBMIT COMPLETED HEALTH/IMMUNIZATION FORMS (ON-CAMPUS STUDENTS ONLY)
Before you can register for your second semester classes, you are required to provide a
medical history
and
proof of immunization
. We recommend that you mail the documentation in advance or bring it with you to orientation.
STEP 9 - OBTAIN A RAMCARD
You must be admitted and registered for the current semester to be eligible for a RamCard.
Bring one of the following forms of identification to the RamCard Office, Room 31 on the lower level of the Lory Student Center: passport, driver's license, state ID card, or military ID.
Be prepared to have your picture taken.
For more information, visit the
RamCard
page on the Housing & Dining Services website.
STEP 10 - GRADUATE SCHOOL ORIENTATION
The Graduate School offers a brief orientation each semester regarding graduate student life. This is a good introduction to many of the resources available on the Graduate School website, and includes a brief presentation on CSU safety issues and the ethical conduct of research.
