  1. WHAT IS THE COST OF APPLYING FOR ADMISSION?
    For summer and fall 2015 applicants, there is a non-refundable processing fee of $50. Starting spring 2016, the non-refundable processing fee is $60 ($70 for international applicants).
  2. WHAT IS THE COST OF APPLYING FOR READMISSION TO GRADUATE SCHOOL?
    A non-refundable readmission fee of $150.00.
  3. IF A DEPARTMENT RENDERS A DENY DECISION, THEN RECONSIDERS AND WANTS TO OFFER ADMISSION TO THE APPLICANT FOR THE SAME ADMIT TERM, WHAT IS REQUIRED?
    A GS2A Notice of Graduate Admission and transcripts are required.
  4. IF A DEPARTMENT RENDERS A DENY DECISION, BUT THEN RECONSIDERS AND WANTS TO OFFER ADMISSION TO A FUTURE TERM, WHAT IS REQUIRED?
    A new graduate application and a non-refundable processing fee are required. For summer and fall 2015 applicants, the fee is $50. Starting spring 2016, the application fee is $60 ($70 for international applicants).
  5. IF A GRADUATE STUDENT DOES NOT MAINTAIN CONTINUOUS ENROLLMENT (EXCLUDING SUMMER), WHAT IS REQUIRED?
    The GS1B Graduate Application for Readmission and $150 non-refundable readmission fee are required.
  6. IF A STUDENT IS ENROLLED AND THEN WITHDRAWS FROM THE UNIVERSITY DURING THEIR 1ST SEMESTER, BUT FAILS TO DEFER THEIR ADMISSION, WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR READMISSION?
    The GS1B Graduate Application for Readmission and $150 non-refundable readmission fee are required.
  7. IF A STUDENT HAS BEEN ENROLLED FOR MORE THAN ONE SEMESTER AND WITHDRAWS FROM THE UNIVERSITY, WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR READMISSION?
    The GS1B Graduate Application for Readmission and $150 non-refundable readmission fee are required.
  8. IF A STUDENT RETURNS TO THE UNIVERSITY AFTER AN ABSENCE, WHAT IS REQUIRED WHEN HE/SHE IS READY TO RETURN?
    The GS1B Graduate Application for Readmission and $150 non-refundable readmission fee are required. If the student has not been enrolled for more than five years, he/she will need to submit new transcripts unless an official copy can be retrieved from the department.
  9. IF A STUDENT IS RETURNING TO THE UNIVERSITY AFTER AN ABSENCE AND WANTS TO PURSUE A NEW DEGREE RATHER THAN THE SAME DEGREE TO WHICH HE/SHE WAS ORIGINALLY ADMITTED, WHAT IS REQUIRED?
    If the student is returning for a new degree, a new graduate application, non-refundable processing fee, transcripts, and any other documents required by the department must be submitted. For summer and fall 2015 applicants, the fee is $50. Starting spring 2016, the application fee is $60 ($70 for international applicants).
  10. IF A STUDENT COMPLETES HIS/HER MASTER'S OR PHD, HAS A BREAK IN ENROLLMENT, AND LATER DECIDES TO START A NEW PROGRAM, MASTER'S OR PHD, WHAT IS REQUIRED?
    A new graduate applicationand a non-refundable processing fee are required. For summer and fall 2015 applicants, the fee is $50. Starting spring 2016, the application fee is $60 ($70 for international applicants). Undergraduate transcripts are not required. However, the academic department may choose to require other documents.
  11. IF A CURRENTLY ENROLLED GRADUATE STUDENT WANTS TO WORK ON A SECOND GRADUATE DEGREE SIMULTANEOUSLY, WHAT IS REQUIRED?
    A new graduate application, a non-refundable processing fee, and approval from BOTH departments to work on the two degrees at the same time are required. For summer and fall 2015 applicants, the fee is $50. Starting spring 2016, the application fee is $60 ($70 for international applicants).
  12. IF A STUDENT MUST WITHDRAW FROM THE UNIVERSITY DUE TO MILITARY OBLIGATION, WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR READMISSION?
    The GS1B Graduate Application for Readmission and a copy of the deployment orders must be submitted to the Office of Admissions. The $150 readmission fee will be waived when an absence from the University is a result of military obligation.

Subsequent updates = new graduate application and a non-refundable fee. For summer and fall 2015 applicants, the fee is $50. Starting spring 2016, the application fee is $60 ($70 for international applicants).

Up to one year, pending approval

Submit GS1C to the department by the GS1C deadline

GS2A Notice of Graduate Admission is ready to go to the Office of Admissions: Change of term requested by the student or department GS2A Notice of Graduate Admission - reflect the new term on the GS2A and check "change in term" box

First update = no fee

Subsequent updates = new graduate applicationand a non-refundable fee. For summer and fall 2015 applicants, the fee is $50. Starting spring 2016, the application fee is $60 ($70 for international applicants).

Up to one year, pending approval

Appeals (from the department) must be submitted to the Office of Admissions via the adm_gradprocessing@mail.colostate.edu e-mail address. GS7 Request for Change of Department and/or Degree Program related items should be directed to the Graduate School.

Submit GS2A to the Office of Admissions two weeks prior to the start of a new term

Appeals (from the department) must be submitted to the Office of Admissions via the adm_gradprocessing@mail.colostate.edu e-mail address. GS7 Request for Change of Department and/or Degree Program related items should be directed to the Graduate School.
